Dear Chapter 54 Officers & Members,
 
      As discussed at our November 3rd meeting in regard to a Guest Speaker at our January 5th, 2012 meeting, I mentioned an interesting speaker who wrote a book about Baseball. Below is a brief BIO of Rich Letarte and his book. I contacted Rich and he has agreeded to be our speaker at our first meeting of the New Year. The CIB and 101st Chapters enjoyed Rich's presentation very much.
 
     The speaker I wish to present on Thursday January 5th, 2012 is Mr. Richard Letarte of Lunenburg. Rich is a Navy Veteran and served on the USS Mauna Kea (AE-22) which supported combat operations in Vietnam in 1968 & 1969. Rich is a CPA and has had his own practice in Leominster since 1978. Rich has always had a special interest in Baseball, so after years of research and personal interviews with Major League Players and Managers he published a great book about Baseball, THAT ONE GLORIOUS SEASON printed in 2007 which is packed with great interviews and many photos of all time favorites such as Ted Williams. I will ask Rich to bring some copies with him, as it's a great read.
