SFA Conference 2017The annual Special Forces Association conference (convention) was held in June 2017 in Fayetteville, North Carolina. It was hosted by Chapters 1-18, 62, and 100. There were lots of events that took place to include briefings, demonstrations, and tours of military facilities on and around Fort Bragg. The event was several days long (June 12-17). Most of the events were held at the Doubletree Inn where a vendor room, hospitality room, and several other activities took place. Attendees visited Camp MacKall, went shooting at a local gun range, viewed demonstrations of the latest Special Forces equipment and facilities on Fort Bragg, played a little golf, attended a picnic, and had the opportunity to hear numerous guest speakers on a variety of topics. Michael Fuenfer, Vice President of the Chapter 54 Special Forces Association, attended the 2017 conference. He provided an After Action Report (AAR) of the event to the Chapter 54 members (via email). In addition, he contributed much of the information contained in an online news report of the SFA conference (see below).
