2019 Malcolm Kalp Award. During the 2019 Christmas
Party Associate Member Vincent Pestilli was presented with the
chapter
Malcolm Kalp Award for his support to the annual chapter
Foreign Weapons
Familiarization Course. This event has resulted in the
raising of thousands of dollars that is contributed to chapter
operating expenses and the chapter's
scholarship fund.
2019 Member of the Year. During the 2019 Christmas Party chapter member John Friberg was presented with the Donald C. Van Roosen Chapter 54 Member of the Year award.
Bruins Tickets! The drawing for two Bruins tickets took place at the Christmas Party. All donations are directed to the Chapter 54 Scholarship Fund. The two seats are located at the blue line and six rows up from the glass. Raffle tickets were mailed to all Chapter 54 members. This year's winner was Steve Lalime of Portsmouth, NH.
No 'Yankee Swap'. The chapter has decided not to hold the usual 'Yankee Swap'. It was felt that the money spent on gifts for each other could be redirected to a useful effort. Each year during the holiday season the chapter will conduct its annual Homeless Veterans Initiative.

The 2019 Christmas Party was held at the Adams Inn - Best
Western Hotel
in Quincy, Massachusetts. It is located just off the major
highway running
north-south through Boston with wonderful views of the Neponset
River.
