GATOR 84 Exercise

The GATOR 84 Exercise was held in November 1984. Units from 1/11th SFGA parachuted into the Everglades onto Matson Drop Zone at 0300 hours from a C-141 aircraft. LTG (Ret) Yarborough met battalion officers on the DZ and spent the weekend with the unit. The training consisted of operations and weapons live firing.
